General guidelines:
- Whatever the article type, your contribution needs to be oriented to practitioners and teacher-researchers. Therefore, pedagogical and research implications are expected. Focus on what you did and on what others can do rather than on what they should do.
- Your article should be written in a formal yet accessible style.
- Do not include an abstract.
- Your article must have a maximum of ten references. Use APA 7th ed. for formatting them. Please make sure you include in your text the page numbers for any direct quotes or for reference to information or ideas to be found on a specific page or pages of a reading source. Also ensure that all sources cited in your text appear in your reference list and that the reference list only includes the sources in your text.
- All titles should be written in sentence case.
- The article can include tables, figures and photos (of the highest resolution possible). If you use visuals, please make sure you refer to them in the body of the article. The visuals will appear in black and white in the print version.
- include a brief biodata (max 50 words, not included in the word count), a photo of you and your email address at the end of your piece.
- We can accept a maximum of one appendix.
- Once you have received comments from the editors and produced a final draft, please use the attached ELT Research Template to format your document by writing over the existing text and using the formatting provided for any tables, images, etc. you would like to use. Then delete anything that you don't need. Please don’t use any other features/styles apart from the ones available in the template.
